Milford Senior Traditions

Emma Collison, Staff Writer

As senior year is coming to an end for the class of 2022 the last few weeks of school are some of the most memorable. Students are ecstatic to share their news with classmates, teachers and family about their future plans for the upcoming year. It’s also a time to celebrate the seniors and all their accomplishments and hard work throughout the year and past four years of highschool. At Milford, the end of the year for seniors is a special time.

Every year at Milford there is a senior clap out at the last day of school. All seniors walk the halls of Milford one last and final time while all other students and staff clap them out of their final moments of Milford. The seniors are all wearing their future college gear. Seniors also have senior sunset on the night before their last night of school. Seniors gather on the Mavericks home football field one last time as a class and enjoy the time they have together. “I’m excited to see the senior class together one of the last times,” saids senior Taryn Marshall. Seniors also celebrate together by having a senior breakfast. Seniors also have their Senior prom on May 27th a few days before their last day of school. Senior year is very important for seniors. It allows Parents, students and teachers to celebrate the wonderful accomplishments of the class of 2022. A lot of these senior Traditions have not happened in the past. Due to covid. This year the class of 2022 is hoping to have a normal end of the year celebration to celebrate its seniors. Congratulations to the class of 2022.
