The 24-year-old rapper released his new album Hollywood’s Bleeding at midnight on Sept. 6. The album quickly rose to the number one spot on the U.K music charts, which didn’t seem to be any kind of surprise after his last album Beerbongs & Bentleys also hit the top of the charts shortly after being released. Along with being on top of the U.K music charts, Post Malone has also flown to the top of the music charts in the United States.

Post Malone’s new album was recorded by the record label Republic Records who has also released many other popular albums by famous artists, such as Ariana Grande, Drake, The Weekend, Kid Cudi, & many other Pop Artists.

This album is Post Malone’s third album he has ever released and it could easily be his best one yet in both his medieval appearance and songs. At such a young age, Post Malone has accomplished so many things with his music because of his creativity and the unique writing talent. But his album becomes even better because of his medieval appearance in his song Circles. In his music video he rescues a princess as he acts as the Knight and shining Armor in a world that’s a cross between the show The Game of Thrones and The Elder Scrolls.

In this album, Post puts a new spin on his songs with both the main idea of each song and the people that were in collaboration in producing this new album. Within each and every song the pop singer writes, he attempts to connect with other people, no matter how far away they are through the lyrics he puts together on paper. The famous artist connects with people of all ages and no other singer does it better than he does. The song Sunflower on his new album was first featured in the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse a kids movie that was released on December 14th, 2018, almost a whole year before the actual album was released.

Not many rap artists are shown in movies that require parental guidance because of the age groups these movies are trying to target, but it shows his ability to connect with listeners of all ages.  The rapper keeps the song clean of any explicit language, just so his music can be heard by all.. Although other songs on his album are explicit in language the meanings are not so explicit. Bad breakups, betrayal, and the rejection of social media and technology which are important issues in our society today are all found in his music.

This can be seen in his song “Die for me” which features famous artists Halsey & Future. Die For me shows how breakups can be hard and how this song helped him cope with the situation. In his lyrics it states “ Said you’d take a bullet, told me you would die for me

I had a really bad feeling you’ve been lying to me.”

In this song, he explains how he was betrayed and lied to by one of his ex-girlfriends. The album gravitates towards more of a gentle and sentimental side.

He also put a new perspective on how different types of music can mix. Post Malone does this in the song Take What you want that features Ozzy Osbourne, who is known for his heavy metal music, and Travis Scott, who is known more for using auto-tune in his music. This song captured Post Malone’s creativity, perfectly blending two opposite genres into one like he did with hip hop and heavy metal in this song. Not only does that show creativity, but it also represents the adventurous attitude he has towards his music. After taking in all 17 songs. the blend in music styles is unique and shows that Post Malone is always coming up with something new. With all of this coming from Post Malone on this album, fans can definitely expect a great experience with future albums.
