With the middle of the 2023-2024 NBA season underway, specific teams are beginning to shine under the pressure. The Boston Celtics have the best record in the league (28-8), with the Minnesota Timberwolves not trailing far behind. The Celtics are being led by all star Jason Tatum, who is currently averaging 27.5ppg and 8.7RPG. Jrue Holiday, a new addition for the Celtics, is playing a huge defensive threat. The Timberwolves, however, have a young guard who’s dominating the game. Anthony Edwards is averaging 26.8PPG, and is elevating the game for his fellow teammates. He’s even eligible for a spot on the NBA All-Star roster. Although there has been a tremendous amount of success in the NBA this season, some unfortunate records were broken. The Detroit Pistons had a 28 game loss streak, breaking a record that goes all the way back to the 2010-2011 Cleveland Cavaliers, who had a 27 game loss streak. The Pistons finally broke this streak at a home game against the Toronto Raptors, barely pulling through with a 129-127 win on Dec. 30. Despite the promising win the Pistons had, they already have a five game loss streak. Many fans are even wondering- is it possible to break this record twice in the same season? This NBA season is only halfway through, and there have already been multiple records broken. Because of this, it’s quite evident that this NBA season is going to be an unforgettable one.
