The 2024 UDA College Dance Team Nationals will take place from January 12th through the 14th in Orlando, Florida. The Universal Dance Association (UDA) College Nationals have been going on for over 40 years and is one of the most respected and looked forward to nationals in the country. Colleges from all over the country fly to Florida to compete their dances to be ranked nationally. For most teams, this is their only competition. 

In the D1A category, The Ohio State University and the University of Minnesota are at the top of their game. The teams go head to head each year, fighting to win first place. The Ohio State University has won nine national championships in the past five years. The University of Minnesota has won 21 national championships since 2003. Ohio State beat Minnesota in jazz for five years and beat them in pom for two. 

In the 2023 Championship, the University of Minnesota took the title of national champion in both the pom and jazz categories, ending Ohio State’s winning streak at the College National Dance Team Championship. With the 2024 Nationals coming up, there is a big debate on who is going to win the D1A pom and jazz categories this year. With both teams having an amazing winning history and flawless routines each year, there is no telling who will come out as champion.
