The 88th annual Academy Awards premiered Sunday, and it’s not just about the films, but the fashion. Celebrities that attend such an award ceremony try their best to look glamorous for all the flashing cameras, but some looks on the red carpet question not only the sanity of the celebrity but if they were dressed in complete darkness.

Kate Winslet and her Trash Bag of a Dress

I thought the trash was supposed to be taken out on Thursdays, but obviously Winslet missed the day as she showed up to the ceremony in an unflattering black dress with an overused silhouette of the garment. The fabric looks as if was purchased at your local home depot in the clearance section as it is very cheap looking almost construction like. Winslet should stick with her usual form fitting gowns instead of her garbage bag looks.     

Alicia Vikander with a Diaper?

Is that Alicia Vikander, or Belle from Beauty and the Beast with a full diaper? The public may be unsure as Vikander is shown wearing a yellow parachute dress that looks VERY heavy at the bottom. Even though the hemline was horrendous, it still didn’t stop this Oscar winner for being great at what she does, and after the after party when she gets tired she can use her heavy, poofy dress as a comforter. This dress is literally looks like if Bed Bath and Beyond made ball gowns.

Someone help Nana Poehler before she breaks a hip!

Queen of comedy, Amy Poehler, needs to find some taste for something else besides prune juice because this floral dress screams matronly. Amy having a tiny frame does not go with the shape of the dress whatsoever and the print looks like my grandmother’s curtains. Amy needs to spend more time with her stylist and less playing bingo at the retirement home.

Heidi Klum’s Unnecessary Fairy Costume!

We all had a favorite childhood costume that we played around in, pretending to be a princess or pirate, kids have the most wonderful imaginations…but their comes a time when parents make their child change into something appropriate for the event. Sadly, there was no parent to stop Heidi Klum from wearing this costume -like dress to the Oscars. If you can’t find your perfect fairy costume for Halloween it’s probably because Heidi Klum beat up a kid for the last one at your local Toys R Us! It really disappoints me to see a fashion icon wear a dress that looks like it’s made for Barbie.

Sandy Powell Looking to Defeat Batman at Oscars

Sandy Powell is not an actress but a designer that has been nominated this year. Yet the photographers are cringing as they take photos of Powell with a pant suit with a tacky print. The suit doesn’t complement her beautiful body or her Cheeto- looking hair making this one of the worst looks in red carpet history. The only question her for interviews will not be “Who are you wearing” but the classic “Do you wanna know how I got these scars?”

Saoirse Ronan is also a Disney princess, but not for a good reason.

I would just like to take a moment to pray for Saoirse Ronan, nothing is wrong with her…but her dress she wore at the Oscars makes her look like the Little Mermaids tail. If it wasn’t for the shade of green the dress could have been halfway decent, but the final look she attended the event in made her look like she was more interested in finding Prince Eric than who won the Oscars of 2016.

       In conclusion, these looks at the Academy Awards did disappoint and should never seen the day of light.
