The Week Before Deca Internationals

Ben Walsh, Staff Writer

With it being the week before the final DECA competition, the finalists from States are preparing themselves for the trip to Nashville, Tennessee, where the final competition is held.

Milford senior Chris Williams is one of the 19 students keeping himself hard at work.

“It was really exciting when my name was called during awards in Detroit and now that the competition is this weekend, I feel like the time flew by between the two events,” said Williams. Viewing the marketing teacher’s rooms the week before the event, one will see how dedicated these students are.

There are 4 advisors taking the students to Nashville via charter bus. The charter bus will stop by Hartland High school and pickup students that are also on their way to Nashville.

Izzie Kenhard is a junior at Milford High School that succeeded in winning the election for state officer in Detroit. Izzie will be attending DECA state officer events and activities in Nashville.

The list of students attending the event from Millford is listed below:

Kenneth Bayne, Sophie Beck, Natanee Bruce, Nathan Camilleri, Nicholas Glazer, Jake Herrington Izzie Kenhard, Jessica Niemiec, Paulina Parr, Audrey Petoskey, Evan Shaffer, Kyle Thompson, Christopher Williams., Damon Saeed, and Brendan Wilson.
