Are you racing against the bell for school to end but find yourself not in a club? Do you have a love for cars? Car Club is looking for more members to join, every Thursday, 2:00 – 2:45, in room 908!

Kelli Miller and Kristina Kahn, two juniors at Milford High School created this intriguing club for their love for cars. Miller has appreciated cars since she was 5-years-old. The person who got her interested in cars is Paul Walker, an actor from the “Fast and Furious” franchise, Dale Earheart jr., a retired nascar driver, and her mom. Miller is interested in all types of cars. Some of her favorites being: Nissan skyline R-34, 1998 Toyota supra twin turbo, GTR, WRX STI, Nissan Silvia S16, and 1973 dodge challenger. 1990’s to 2000’s would be her favorite, if she had to choose.

“We want to go to as many car shows as possible and we work on different cars.” Miller said. She has been to over 50 car shows in the past year. “Anybody that likes cars can join car club,” said Miller.

Kristina Kahn started getting into cars when she was 15-years-old. The person who got Kahn interested in cars was her father. In the decision between newer cars and vintage ones ”I appreciate vintage cars more,” said Kahn. One of her favorite type of cars is a Pontiac Fiero. Cars from 1987 are her favorite types. “We do Car Shows, talk about types of cars and how to fix them,” she explained of the club. Kahn has been to many car shows in her lifetime some at the Milford Dream Cruise, Baker’s, and more. Car Club is in Mr. Hincka’s room, a teacher who teaches basic car care for everyone. “16, that’s when I got my drivers license, something went wrong with my car and I took a stronger interest.” Mr. Hincka says. Car ownership and having a drivers license is what inspired him to like cars. “ I have appreciation for old ones, muscle car era is the highlight for many people.” Mr. Hincka is very fond of the 1978 ford F1-50. “Alot of people are not likely to look at auto as an elective; I renamed it to basic car care for everyone so it appeals to male and females.” Driving is a part of everyone’s daily lives, some people aren’t interested. “Foolish, anyone who drives a car should know how to take care of it.” Mr. Hincka exclaims. “ a lot of feedback saying they would of wished I had that, They’ll appreciate later in life.” Mr. Hincka talking about the class. He gets asked all the time to fix cars. “I got to be selective, I have to say no, but I do what I can to help people out.” Mr. Hincka has been to the auto show a couple of times. If you have nothing to do after school, and are interested in cars, or would like to give it a try, join Car Club! You dont have to take the class to be in car club.  Contact Mr.Hincka for more information in room 908.
