rsz_jthm_art001_1 Being in a family of amazing artists, movie makers, and musicians, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say art is in his blood. Raglan Brunswick, an artist since he’s been able to hold a pencil, is living proof that practice really makes perfect.

His inspiration comes not only from his family but also from television. “Cartoon Network, shows like Catdog, Dexter’s Laboratory, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, just zany off the wall cartoons.”

Brunswick received a much deserved scholarship to the College of Creative Studies, where he plans to be a comic artist/animator. “Zombie” a comic-in-progress that he has been working on for over 6 years, features a group of demonic creatures battling the spawn of the underworld. Brunswick is currently working on Zombie and hopes to work for Dark Horse Comics, and could even work with artists such as Jeff Zornow.

When it comes to animation, he uses Adobe Flash with a Wacom Intuos tablet and has made a few animated GIF’s, and hopes to create animated cartoons in the future. The hardest part about animating is the time it takes to make all the pieces come together smoothly.

When he’s not drawing, Brunswick works at Little Caesars to gain money for art supplies and even retro games. He enjoys playing Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda and is an avid collector of Classic NES cartridges. Despite his various outlets for fun and entertainment, Brunswick’s favorite pass time is creating art for all to enjoy.

With pen and paper being the medium of his imagination, Brunswick is able to create amazing characters who have very real personalities. With his talent and personality, his cartoons may just be the entertainment and inspiration for future generations of artists.
