Every November furry faces fill the hallways of Milford High School as teenagers participate in No Shave November.
No shave November involves the many men (and the occasional woman) who participate to relinquish all shaving responsibilities for one whole month.
This means men throughout the school grow out their beard, mustache, soul patch or (in most cases) stubble. No shave November is a tradition at Milford High School and was continued this November. Despite the pride the men of the school show in their newly grown beard many women have a very different perspective about the newly grown hair. Women seem to share a common detest for this furry tradition.
“I feel that a lot of guys like it, but even more girls hate it,” said Olivia Kresic, a sophomore. Many ladies concur with Kresic. Sophomore Madison Hoeft agreed and stated “I can guarantee most women hate it.”
Different women seem to dislike like it for various reasons.
“I think it’s kind of disgusting, and people shave for a reason,” stated Hoeft. “Shaving is proper hygiene and to not shave, especially for a whole month, is gross.” When 15 girls from Milford were asked at random about if they liked No Shave November, only one said they liked it. Of the few that like it Allyse Zondlak stated, “I like it for guys if they can actually can grow a mustache or beard, but it I think it looks dumb if by the third week all you have is a dirt stache or stubble.”
“Only a few people can pull off facial hair,” stated Kresic. Whether women think it’s gross or don’t think it looks good, most can come to agree on it not begin favorable. Hoeft continues by saying, “not many teenagers are old enough to grow an actual beard and it doesn’t look right.”
Most teenage girls agree that no shave November is not an appealing tradition and one anonymous source stated, “If you have a razor do us a favor and use it!”
