New haunted fright review

For the past couple of weeks, I have had the courage to go through and review the hottest and bone-chilling haunted attractions for the new Halloween season. New trends emerge and old spooks still stand and send the same chill thrill down your back as you walk into The Realm Of Darkness, take a stroll through Slaughter At Sundown, or visit the critically-acclaimed Haunted Hot spot Erebus for its high ratings and authenticity for a real haunt.

This Haunted attraction has had paranormal hunters from A&E investigate the estate for EVPs and any signs of paranormal activity, and as a result, they found many recordings and some movement in certain parts of this four-story haunt. Located in Pontiac, this attraction costs 25$ a person (or 20$ a person if you come with a group). The wait is about 30 minutes for an average day, but when busy it can take as long as an hour before admission. The tour includes pure darkness with grabbing, jump frights, biting (yeah biting), and even a real life burial from head to toe with what seemed to be plastic balls. This experience provides a good fright and the actors have good team work through the whole house, but it does not live up to its reputation of “The Best” in Michigan. This attraction is awarded three out of five screams.

With a name like “Slaughter at Sundown” you would have to think that there would be a lot of blood, but surprisingly, there was not. This two-part attraction comes with a haunted hayride and a haunted house. Located in Hartland, MI, this attraction costs $15 for the haunted hayride or $25 for the package deal of both hayride and haunted house. Group prices are available. For the money you put into the attraction, it sure does give you a ride. From being chased with chainsaws to discovering new kinds of creatures, this hayride provides an up-close-and-personal kind of scare with a twist that you really don’t see in most haunted attractions. Calls from the house arise from the smoky and dark setting as you arrive at the haunted house. This house shares some secrets that if I explained them would ruin the scare, but rest assured that this house really is one big family. This attraction is awarded four out of five screams.

The Final haunted attraction “The Realm Of Darkness” is ruled by a evil wizard that challenges you to fight through the haunted house and real 3D vision. Located in Pontiac, MI this attraction varies in cost depending on when you go. Anywhere from 33$ to 32$ is what you’ll pay for both the haunted house and 3D attraction. These “challenges” that are offered are tideus and nail biting and if done properly, are almost refundable if you make it to the end of both attractions and defeat the evil wizard. New and revolutionary things are displayed at this attraction and I would highly recommend it to anyone that’s looking for the next best thing. Although Thrilling and entertaining, The scare factor was not the same as some other haunts I’ve been to. I award this attraction four out of five screams.
