The Masters took place from April 7-10 at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia. It is the biggest tournament to play in as a professional golfer.

Rising star Jordan Speith started the tournament out strong. He was in first place after round one and stayed strong up until round 4. He had a tough time when he bogeyed, bogeyed, qaudruple bogeyed to start the first three holes of the final nine holes of the tournament.

Jordan Speith ended The Masters -2.

The winner of The Masters Danny Willett shot -5. He came out strong in round 4 of The Masters and took the lead. Danny Willett took home $1.8 million in prize money.

Some top players did not make the cut, including Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler. Legendray golfer Tom Watson also played his last round at the Masters this year.

Phil Mickelson shot 72 the first round and 79 the second and ended with +7. Tom Watson ended with +8. Rickie Fowler shot 80, the first round and 73 the second. He finished the tournament with +9. Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas won the par 3 contest and both got a hole in one.

Many players were having a tough time throughout the tournament. In round 3 of The Masters had the highest scoring average since ‘07.

Only 5 players broke par in the third round.

Rory Mcilroy tied for 10th place ending the tournament +1. Round 3 was Rory Mcilroy’s worst day shooting +5.
