On May 3rd, the Indiana Primary changed the race for the Presidency of the United States. Indiana is considered a key state in the race for the White House. This primary can affect the nomination for the Democratic and Republican parties.

Donald Trump won and had 53.3% of the vote and Ted Cruz came in second place with 36.7% of the vote. Bernie Sanders won and had 52.7% and Hillary Clinton came in second place with 47.3% of the vote.

After the primary, something game changing occurred, Ted Cruz dropped out. Immediately after the primary, Donald Trump held a rally in New York city. He described his plans for the future if he becomes president. Other than that, Trump mainly described how Cruz tried his best and how he had a strong fight.

On May 4th, another groundbreaking event occurred. John Kasich dropped out of the race. This is considered to be a guarantee for Donald Trump to win the Republican Nomination.

For the Democratic party’s Nomination, Bernie Sanders won a key primary. This win gave him a much needed boost closer to Hillary Clinton. He still has a way to go before he jumps to her level in the race for the nomination, but it definitely helped him gain much needed delegates.
